Pastor Larry K. Hutcherson
Elder Hutcherson
is the husband of Brenda Neal Hutcherson. The father of two sons; Staff Sergeant John
Kenneth and Brendan Scott Hutcherson (deceased), and special nephew Christian Neal.
He is the son of Deacon Sam and
the late Mother Sarah Hutcherson.
Elder Hutcherson is a graduate of Coffee Spring High School
in 1974. He Attended Technical College in Birmingham, AL majoring in Avionics/Electrical Technician,
He’s employed with AFS Fleet at Ft Rucker, AL for 31 years.
Elder Hutcherson accepted Christ on Mothers’
Day night May 1976, where Elder J. T. Hutton was the Evangelist. Elder J.C. McLeod was the pastor
at Bethlehem Temple Church of God in Christ, Bellwood, AL. Brother Larry Hutcherson was appointed
Dothan District YPWW President in 1983 under the leadership of Superintendent J. C. McLeod.
On Mothers’
Day Morning in 1989 he accepted his call into the ministry and in 1991 he was ordained as an Elder.
He attended Alabama
First Jurisdictional School of Schools in
Birmingham, AL. In
August 2001 he was appointed Alabama First Jurisdictional President of the Y.P.W.W. Department under the leadership of Bishop
O.L. Meadows.
Elder
Hutcherson was appointed pastor of Memorial Church of God in Christ, New Brockton, Alabama in 2002 by Bishop O.L. Meadows.
He was appointed by Bishop Meadows as Assistant Pastor to Superintendent J. C. McLeod at Houston St. Church of God
in Christ, Dothan, Alabama January 24, 2010. He was appointed as Pastor of Houston St. Church October 26,
2010 by Bishop O. L. Meadows.
